This was stated by the member of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Commission on National Defense, and former Minister of National Defense of Türkiye, Hulusi Akar, during his visit to the Martyrs’ Alley.
He mentioned that some want to turn Armenia into a proxy state. “If Armenia goes down this wrong path, it will face severe consequences again, as in the Second Karabakh War. This must not be allowed. For us, peace, stability, and the future of the Caucasus are important.”
H. Akar stated that Armenia should accept the hand of peace extended by Azerbaijan: “Peace and stability must come to the region as soon as possible. We are striving for this. Provocations and pressure are not beneficial for Armenia and the region.”
The former minister noted that Türkiye and Azerbaijan continue their cooperation: “Our close cooperation in the field of defense industry continues.”
