Acwa Power, a company from Saudi Arabia, will invest approximately $5 billion in Azerbaijan. This announcement was made by Abid Malik, Vice President and Regional Director of Acwa Power, during his speech at the panel discussion “Sustainable Energy: The Potential of Green Energy in the Caspian Region” at the Baku Energy Forum.
According to “Azertac,” these investments will primarily focus on the renewable energy sector. “Acwa Power has been operating in Azerbaijan for some time now. There are significant prospects here in terms of renewable energy. Besides being a politically stable region, Azerbaijan is very favorable considering the advantages of transit routes and corridors, making it a target country for us. Additionally, we are collaborating with SOCAR. Our plans include developing green energy in cooperation with Azerbaijan,” said Abid Malik
