In the run-up to the event, First Deputy Minister of Healthcare, acting Minister Teymur Musayev met with a group of forum participants, the press service of the Ministry of Healthcare says.

The meeting took place in a cordial atmosphere. Teymur Musayev stressed that President Ilham Aliyev always pays particular attention and care to the matters of child healthcare, and that protection of children’s rights is one of the priorities of state policy.

The acting minister reminded the participants that in accordance with the Decree of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, 2009 had been declared the Year of the Child in our country, and this would be the fifth All-Republican Forum of Children held since that year. Mr. Musayev expressed confidence that the forum would become an important event in children’s life and contribute to their personal growth.

According to him, the forum is important in terms of drawing the attention of government agencies, the public and civil society to the protection of children’s rights and it gives children the opportunity to share their emotional experiences and problems, to show initiative and demonstrate their abilities.

The forum participants thanked Mr. Musayev for the warm welcome and emphasized that they always feel the state’s support. According to them, the V All-Republican Forum of Azerbaijani Children, which is set out to discuss topical issues of education, health and social protection of children, effective organization of children’s leisure time, their Internet safety, as well as patriotic education, is an excellent opportunity for singling out children with leadership qualities and analytical thinking in the field of children’s rights.

Teymur Musayev answered the questions of the forum participants (“The most important tips for parents to build up the health of their children”, “What are the possible risks of contracting infection or getting sick for vaccinated and unvaccinated people?”, “What will the national healthcare strategy be in the post-pandemic period?”, and so on).

On a final note, a group photo was taken to commemorate the meeting.
