Turkey is ready to support the Syrian army using the Azerbaijani model, Turkish Defense Minister Yaşar Güler has announced.
The minister emphasized that Turkey had previously provided military training to the armies of Azerbaijan, Libya, and Somalia, and intends to offer similar assistance to Syria.
“Just as we provided training to Azerbaijan, Libya, and Somalia, we can also provide it to them. Training programs are continuing in Turkey. We believe that we must help Syria in its fight against terrorism and we continue to act in that direction,” the minister said.
