The Ministry of Defense held a service meeting under the leadership of Hasanov, as reported by the ministry.
Zakir Hasanov also ordered the constant combat readiness of troops and heightened vigilance. During the meeting, he emphasized the importance of organizing effective military service in units, as well as the clearance of mines and unexploded ordnance left by Armenia during the years of occupation in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.
Hasanov further stressed the need for engineering and demining work to strengthen positions located in areas with difficult terrain and harsh climatic conditions, as well as the continuous maintenance of supply routes.
The meeting, held via video conference, was attended by deputy ministers, service chiefs, commanders of military branches, and heads of key departments, as well as commanders of military formations and units.
The meeting began with a moment of silence in memory of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country.
The Defense Minister conveyed to the participants the tasks assigned to the Azerbaijani Army by the President of Azerbaijan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ilham Aliyev.
