The Azerbaijani diaspora organized a ceremony in Istanbul on the occasion of the national holiday of Azerbaijan, June 26 - Armed Forces Day.

“ETERNITY” album was released with financial support of Fund for Support to Azerbaijani Diaspora. The album was prepared in accordance with the series of events plan dedicated to the 880th anniversary of the great Azerbaijani poet and thinker Nizami Ganjavi and the proclamation of 2021 as the "Year of Nizami Ganjavi".

Gyrmyzy Gasaba, or Red Town, lies in the mountains of Azerbaijan. It's believed to be the only fully-Jewish village outside Israel and the US. It's a modern-day shtetl.

The cooperation between the diaspora institutions of Turkey and Azerbaijan will be further enhanced and strengthened with the recently inked Shusha agreement, the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) stated on Tuesday.

On June 21, Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora Fuad Muradov met with Chairwoman of the "Vatansever" Azerbaijan-Kuwait Culture and Friendship Society Konul Hajizade.

The next meeting of the Coordination Council of Scandinavian Azerbaijanis was dedicated to the activities of diaspora organizations after the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity.

With the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, organized by the Society of Azerbaijanis in Barcelona, informational billboards dedicated to May 28 - Republic Day were placed on various platforms in the metro in Barcelona, Spain.

At the initiative of our compatriot Sevinj Aliyeva, who lives in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the online project "National Lesson" has been launched. Within the project, programs reflecting our culture and art have been organized.

Informational actions carried out by diaspora organizations to promote Azerbaijan's cultural and historical heritage and territorial integrity in Helsinki, Finland and The Hague, the Netherlands, angered Armenians and pro-Armenian circles.

Hajar Karaman, chairwoman of the Young Socialists Organization on the northern Amsterdam region of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, presented a draft resolution on the Khojaly genocide to the leadership of the Socialist Party.

Our young compatriot Aliya Orujova, who lives in Aberden, Scotland, was awarded the Academic Excellence Award of the Aberden International School.

The virtual conference organized by the State Committee on Work with Diaspora on the occasion of "May 28 - Republic Day" was attended by about 367 compatriots from 58 countries, including heirs of the Republicans living in different countries, as well as relatives of the heroes of the Second Karabakh War, representatives of the “Karabakh is Azerbaijan” platform, diaspora volunteers and diaspora youth.

The one-month YASHAT charity marathon was announced on April 29. The marathon was organized at the initiative of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the YASHAT Foundation, with the financial support and organization of the Fund for Support to Azerbaijani Diaspora. The amount of funds raised during the month will be made public shortly.

Statements were adopted in Chicago, Illinois, Durham, Fayetteville, Apex, Charlotte, North Carolina, and Greer, South Carolina to recognize May 28, 2021 as the Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The exhibition "Discover the origin of our national heritage with the footsteps of Tour Heyerdahl to Azerbaijan" organized in Oslo with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora and the initiative of the Norwegian organization “JAN” has aroused great interest in the local community.

“Buta” dance group under the “Friends of Azerbaijan” Union in Switzerland has won first place in the online international dance competition "Azerbaijan is my homeland".
